I am from Ireland. I grew up in the beautiful countryside of County Limerick with my three sisters. As a teenager I changed my mind a lot about what I wanted to do after school, but I knew I loved science so I when went on to university I chose to study for a degree in biochemistry in the National University of Ireland, Galway. In my final year of my degree I realized that a career in teaching would allow me to continue in the science field while working with young people. I have been a teacher for six years and it has been one of the best decisions I have made.
Before coming to Cliff Park High School, I taught in Cobh, Co. Cork, a port town with a lot of history. Many Irish passengers emigrated to the States on steam boats and ocean liners that set out from Cobh through the decades. It was the last place the Titanic docked before setting out across the Atlantic.
In my spare time I enjoy cooking and baking, spending time with friends and being outdoors in nature. I love discovering new places and learning new things. I look forward to exploring the beautiful countryside of Ohio during my time here.
